Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Does it Cost to Tryout?

A.  No, but you do need to register for all tryouts.

Q.  What age groups do you have competitive teams for?

A.  North Cass Freedom will have competitive teams for players born between 2015-2004.

Q.  What is the cost for playing for an NFC team?

A.  Please see NFC pricing here.  We offer multiple payment plans to fit most budgets.  Uniform is an additional cost.

Q.  What is the commitment to joining an NFC team?

A.  Joining an NFC team is a full year commitment.  You are committing to fall and spring league, 2 outdoor practice a week along with 1 to 2 tournaments each season.  Winter activities, league and 1 practice a week is determined by the coach of the team.

Q. What if my player cannot attend tryouts?

A. We ask that you complete the online tryout registration even if your player can not attend tryouts and alert the club at [email protected].  Attending the pre-tryout camp is a great option if your player is unavailable during tryouts. Please alert both coach and club at camp if you will not be available to attend tryouts.

Q. Does my player need to attend both scheduled tryouts?

A. Attendance at both tryout dates is not mandatory but highly encouraged.  If your player is only able to attend only one tryout, we recommend the first tryout date.

Q. What do I need to bring to tryouts?

A. All players should bring shin guards, plenty of water and a great attitude.

Q. How will spots be communicated?

A.  We leave it up to our coaches on how and when they will notify players offering a spot.  They will either offer in person at tryouts or via phone, email or text at the conclusion of tryouts.  If you have not heard anything within 24 hours after our last tryout, please contact the club at [email protected].

Q. How do I accept my offered spot?

A. You will alert your coach to your acceptance either in person or via phone email or text.  After tryouts are finalized, you will be emailed a link to register for your specific team and accept your spot by making a $100 deposit and then setting up your payment plan for the season.

Q. What follows after tryouts?

A. Once teams are finalized and registration is complete, your team admin or coach will reach out to the team to start the uniform ordering process thru Soccer Master while ensuring players are registered, and will update players and parents on all information for fall as soon as it comes available.  Training generally starts late July with league games typically beginning in mid-August.
